What A Real AC Checkup Actually Measures

There are two kinds of AC tune-ups. One is a quick look and a hose rinse. The other one measures things. We are firmly in the second camp, and here is why.

At Advanced Comfort Solutions (ACS), we believe a cooling system can look fine and still be quietly failing. The only way to know is numbers, taken at the right spots, compared against what the equipment was built to do.

The Measurements That Matter

Supply air temperature: Fifty-five to sixty degrees at the registers on a hot day means the whole chain is working.

Refrigerant pressures: Readings on both sides of the system reveal charge level and restriction problems.

Superheat and subcooling: These two numbers tell us whether the refrigerant circuit is tuned or drifting.

Coil temperature drop: The difference between the air going into the indoor coil and the air coming out.

Condition checks: Coil condition, filter condition, and drain flow, because small neglect becomes big repair.

What The Numbers Buy You

When those numbers line up, we tell you the system is healthy and we leave it alone. When one drifts, we catch it months before it becomes a Saturday afternoon breakdown in July.

That is the whole philosophy: measure, explain in plain language, and fix only what the numbers say needs fixing.

If your system has not been measured this season, we will put real numbers on your comfort.
